I had a great time speaking at the one year anniversary event for the W initiative by Access Bank. African women have been described as the continent’s “greatest untapped resource.” I believe that women bring something critical to the economy, civil society and politics.
Empowering a woman with information and education, empowers the family, which is the smallest unit of the society. I truly believe that if the African family is empowered, this has profound implications for our communities, our nations and our continent’s economic development.
Surround yourself with enablers and disengage from disablers. Like I always say, it is important to invest in yourself. Invest also in your relationships; dreams, business and your talent. Visit my twitter page (@MMWithNimi) to read live tweets of my presentation.
My new book, A-Z of Personal Finance made an appearance too. Do you have your copy yet? Get yours at Jumia, Amazon, Terra Kulture, Jazzhole and more.
It was a great day of celebration, fun and most importantly, women empowerment. Congratulations to the W Community on their one year anniversary. I commend Access Bank for this wonderful initiative.

Truly inspiring. Love to see women do great stuffs.
Women are truly Africa’s greatest untapped resource. I think that women empowerment efforts should be geared more towards financial empowerment because this impacts other areas like politics, family life, etc.
